You seem to feel quite strongly about this, good sir. Shall I horrify you? Pre-'73 Maverick front bumpers can barely be had for any price regardless of supply (hot rod reasons I was looking at them), which equates to there being a diehard cadre of Maverick enthusiasts out there - ones that want them to look their best.

The world shall remain a horrid, accursed place so long as those abominations are allowed to show their aborted and much maligned designs on the roads. It is a pox and a curse upon those houses that welcome them in.

If Mr. Ontopofwhatever decides to burn it I shall stand between him and the Maverick and I'll be damned if I don't protect this lovely piece of metal.

But why? My Mom had a Mav, and a Maverick Grabber(302V8) and she loved both of them. I'm actually quite fond of them. But I'm a fan of small muscle/pony cars any way. Not that Mavericks are muscle cars normally, but they can be.

I remember them back in the day. They sucked then, they suck now. Now what I am seeing is just being viewed through nostalgia...which is the same as beer goggles. You watch, there will someday be someone remembering the Yugo fondly! There was nothing good about them from their deign, reliability...nothing, just ugly horrible cars....

Wow, there's a running Maverick somewhere in the world? I thought they were basically all gone by about the mid 1990s. It's like an automotive coelacanth.
